Difficulty: Easy ★★☆☆☆
Materials you will need:
- The Template
- A Piece of Dark Green Felt
- A Piece of Sandy Beige Felt
- Embroidery Floss in a Light Green and a Beige
- A Black Permanent Marker
- A Pen/ Pencil
- Scissors
- Polyester Stuffing
- A Sewing Needle
- Pins
- A Hot Glue Gun (Optional)
First, you need to print out the template above.
Next, cut out both pieces of the template. Make sure that you also cut out the designs on the leaf.
Take the body template piece and your beige felt and trace the piece onto the felt. Then flip the template and trace that onto the felt as well.
Cut out both body pieces.
Line both pieces up and pin them together.
Take your beige/ light brown embroidery floss and split it so that you have two threads. Then thread your needle and tie a not at the end.
Starting in between the legs, begin to sew the to pieces together. A blanket stitch works best although any overhand stitch will do. You'll want to have a neat, even stitch length for the best results. Sew all the way around the edges, stopping around the top of the final leg.
Now stuff the body. Once you've stuffed it to your desired fullness, finish sewing up the body.
Now it's time to trace the leaf onto your green felt. Once you have the outline finished, fill in the facial designs with a black marker.
Cut out the leaf.
Now it's time to add the veins to the leaf. This step is optional, but it gives the leaf some nice detail.
Take your light/lime green embroidery floss and separate 3 threads from it. Begin sewing the veins on using a running stitch. You can use the diagram above for reference, or make your own pattern. Make sure to not stitch on top of the black leaf designs.
Now to attach the leaf to the body. First, position and pin the leaf onto the body. Then, tack it into place as you see fit. You can also use hot glue to attach the two pieces, it's up to you.
Thats it! You now have your very own Korok!
I made it! :D It was sooo much fun and really easy! thanks!

DeleteIs there any bigger version of this template? Like maybe more like in-game?
ReplyDeleteId recommend to try to find a template of only the body and one for the face and then enlarge it.
